HEALTH are a folk rock band with a soul feel from the depths of Greensboro, North Carolina. They consist of Marc Bernstein, Eben Dennis, Jonathan Moore, Anna Murray, Mark Wingfield. They lay out heavy, funky, smooth beats!
They have several releases to date, including one self-titled full length, a split with good friends Crystal Castles, another split with art punk band Elphaba, two tour CD-R’s, and one Tape release of them performing Live at the smell.

The Soft Pack are an indie rock band which formed in San Diego, California, United States in 2008. They consist of Matt Lamkin (vocals, guitar), Matty McLoughlin (guitar), David Lantzman (bass) and Brian Hill (drums). They were originally known as The Muslims. And released one single and a 12” EP on 1928 Recordings under their previous name. As the Soft Pack they have released two EPs.

They actually play as first part of Phoenix US tour.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour are an alternative dance band from Copenhagen, Denmark which formed in 2006. They consist of Mette Lindberg (vocals), Lars Iversen (bass, keyboards), Miloud Carl Sabri (trumpet), Sven Meinild (sax), Mads Brinch Nielsen (guitar, keyboards), Jesper Elnegaard (drums).

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour are musicians on a mission. The band and their unique style of psychedelic pop are heading for fame at a speed even they didn’t expect.

Their debut gig saw them support Amy Winehouse at the biggest venue in their native Copenhagen, at the special request of the British singer’s management. In London, a demo found its way to industry veterans David Enthoven and Tim Clark, who have managed the careers of T-Rex and Roxy Music amongst others. Within half an hour of hearing it, Enthoven was on the phone to band founder Lars Iversen. Within days, he was on his way to Copenhagen to thrash out a deal.

Things have moved unnaturally fast for The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. But Lars, who composes most of the music and plays bass, spent a long time planning the sound.

In summer 2007, Lars met up with former band mate and singer Mette to play her some demos. She went home with a CD and returned the day after with lots of ideas of her own. The pair immediately set to work, spending last summer practically living, recording, eating, composing and sleeping in Lars’s self-built studio in his one room flat in Copenhagen. Every night after a hard day’s work, they would end up drunk on Lars’s balcony until early morning.

Magnifié par une production épatante signée Julien Delfaud (Phoenix, Herman Dune), Music for a While vaut le coup pour au moins trois aspects : sa ribambelle de mélodies en cascade (le mini chef-d’oeuvre Balulalow ou A Song She Wrote, comme ressorti d’un vieux carton des seventies), le timbre de voix, sombre et limpide, qui évoque par moments Stuart Staples des Tindersticks (Do You Have a Gun?) et, surtout, la subtilité des choeurs et des harmonies, d’une richesse rarement entendue depuis Elliott Smith. “Nos études nous ont éveillés à l’amour du chant en choeur. Quand on chante tous les trois dans une pièce, on recherche cette boule qui se crée lorsque les trois voix se rassemblent. On retrouve ce principe chez Elliott Smith, car il doublait ses voix. C’est un peu triste de penser qu’il devait vivre ça seul. Chanter à trois, c’est physiquement agréable… Elliott Smith a joué un rôle primordial pour nous. C’est passionnant de voir comment il a pu, avec l’influence des Beatles, continuer à faire de la musique. C’est hyper intimidant d’avoir les Beatles en tête quand on commence la musique, on se dit qu’on n’y arrivera jamais. Avec Elliott Smith, il y a quelque chose de plus accessible, plus proche dans le temps. Ça a été libérateur de découvrir sa musique. C’est lui qui nous a réellement donné envie de composer des chansons.” Une raison de plus de remercier l’ami Elliott : même au ciel, il continue à faire des miracles. (www.lesinrocks.com)

Operator Please is a baroque pop band from Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia that formed in early 2005 and their current lineup consists of vocalist and guitarist Amandah Wilkinson, drummer Tim Commandeur, keyboardist Chris Holland, bassist Ashley McConnell, and violinist Taylor Henderson. Original keyboardist Sarah Gardiner left in April of 2008.

They released their debut album, “Yes Yes Vindictive” in November 2007 in Australia and March 2008 in Germany/United Kingdom. They released their third single “Just A Song About Ping Pong” in Australia, debuting at #15 on the ARIA charts. They also released “Just A Song About Ping Pong” in United Kingdom, released their second EP Cement Cement in Australia, played Splendour In The Grass, opened for Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, and Maxïmo Park.
